Watch out Melbourne, there’s a new neighbour out North. Stray Neighbour is the latest food venture to hit Preston and comes as one of the many upcoming new restaurants to grace the Northern suburbs in recent months. It’s a collaboration between three individuals (brothers Ben Stray and Daniel Stray, and Andrew Chew of Chew Burger) who share a passion in introducing a new style of dining to the area, one that has been designed specifically with the locals in mind. Despite Melbourne’s rapid expansion in new eateries in the past few years, Preston has remained rather quiet amidst this growth however things are starting to change. With its expansive, warehouse-type eatery and Modern European menu, Stray Neighbour fits the gap in the market by offering not just excellent food with a little finesse, but a comfortable multi-purpose space (restaurant, bar and a side room with a pool table) that can be enjoyed by everyone.
